Tidal Reveal: Dig for Canada’s Oldest Dinosaurs
The Bay of Fundy tides align for only six days each summer for this unique dinosaur fossil dig experience.
Get suited up for a thrilling Zodiac adventure to the shores of the Bay of Fundy where you’ll take part in an active Jurassic dinosaur dig. Led by a museum expert, you’ll dig for fossils and see the latest discoveries. The research sites change each year as the powerful tides of the Bay of Fundy expose new fossils.
Then, as you relax on a Jurassic beach, you’ll hear cultural and geological secrets of the area, while enjoying a gourmet lobster-infused picnic.
- 1-hour Zodiac excursion of the Bay of Fundy’s dramatic coastal cliffs
- Assist Museum researchers at a real dinosaur fossil dig site
- Picnic lunch on a Jurassic beach, featuring Bay of Fundy lobster
- Guided beach walk, led by Museum researchers

Price: $360 per person
Minimum of four and maximum of six participants per tour. When weather or unavailable boat service results in your event being cancelled, alternative bookings may be offered if available or full registration fees will be returned. Deposits will not be returned if participants cancel less than 7 days in advance. Note: Participants must be 10 years of age or older to take part in this experience. Also, participants aged 10-18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
