Jordan Broadworth: Perfect Feral

New York-based Canadian abstract artist Jordan Broadworth studied at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University prior to graduating from the University of Guelph’s Master of Fine Art program in 1997. He works his paintings in layers, ‘wet into wet’. In each layer there are areas exposed while other areas are masked using a wide array of painterly and pedestrian motifs. Some aspects of the work are predetermined with others he works blind, opening the work to spontaneity and chance. Broadworth returns to Studio 21 after over a decade. His exhibition Perfect Feral includes large scale canvases that are accompanied by smaller paintings on mylar.
