Just 45 minutes from Halifax, this day trip is great for someone who is looking to relax and explore all that the Bluenose Coast has to offer. You will be able to find some wonderful treasures or just enjoy the atmosphere at the Farmers' Market. If you’re goal is to be on the ocean, head down to one of the area’s ten beaches and walk in the cool fall sand. To end a perfect day enjoy a lobster dinner with all the fixings and dancing at the award winning Shore Club.

Morning:

The Hubbards Farmers Market, also known as “the Barn” is a must see on Saturday mornings May through October. Select from an assortment of succulent cheeses, breads, chocolate, pastries, seafood, preserves, sweets and organic produce. Talented artisans display their jewelry, pottery, textiles, photography, metalwork and leather creations.

Afternoon:

Grab lunch from the Chip Wagon at Queensland Beach and head down to the water! Queensland is one of the Bluenose Coast’s most popular beaches. Visit in the early morning, spread your blanket and dip your toes in the water. There is a lifeguard that supervises the beach.  

Evening:

Stop by the award winning Shore Club, for a lobster dinner and a night full of dancing to a live band at the oldest dance hall in Nova Scotia.

Hubbards is only 52 km from Halifax or about a 45 minute drive.
